Ruth and I woke up after Amy had gone to work. I went to work and had a good shift. Dad had called, but I was with a patient so I didn't pick up. On my way out of the ED to the car, I checked his message asking me to call him back which was different. I called, and he told me a friend of the family had a head bleed. It struck me as odd that I see ICH all the time in the ED, and it's no big deal. However, when it is someone you know, it feels different. I asked dad how his blood pressure was doing and to remember to exercise... and that I love him. I left a voicemail with the patient's daughter to let her know we would be praying for her dad. I spoke to a couple of friends in the same group of Thai families to learn more about the details. It was interesting to hear how fast the news had spread among the Thai community around Dallas. My prayer is that, he recovers quickly from the subdural hemorrhage and that Dad becomes a Christian soon.

Romans 3:22 "This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe."

This chapter goes over the basic tenet that we all fall short. His grace allows us to have faith in order to be righteous in His presence. I will be praying for the rest of my family to also accept this gift.
