I woke up early for 5:45am b-ball despite being tired because I had already scheduled a 7:30am trainer appointment so I felt I might as well get both done. Basketball was fun, and I had a great chat with Marcus during this session about sports and the road to my current medical career. I came home and took a great nap until it was time for work. Work was full of sick folks that needed admission. It was a wonderful shift. The acuity was high, and the patients were nice. I am headed home now so that I can get up in a few hours to return for Manny Rivers' sepsis talk and our staff meeting.

Romans 6:1-2 "What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?

These initial verses of Romans explains how we cannot use God's grace as an excuse to sin. His grace is wonderful, but we also must avoid sin in our lives. We have a great gift in His death and resurrection.
