We finished our weekend shifts so we are looking forward to a few days of here and there during the weekdays. Ruth actually was still asleep when I went to work. These last few shifts have been good. Not much to report except that I have learned that even when you ask for something to be done (once, twice, or more), it doesn't always get done. When it is your license on the line, it is ultimately your responsibility because you hold the ultimate liability. I want to be nice and lovable. However, there are times you have to be firm and clear about the need for things to get done. I don't want to be mean or nasty, but I don't want to get sued or feel guilty for a bad outcome because I was too soft.

Romans 4:20 "Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised."

Romans 4 talks about Abraham and his faith. There times I lose faith, including the hope that God will save my parents and brothers, but this verse reminds me of the story of Abraham and Sarah. I will keep on praying and trust Him.
