I got up early for basketball. We had a small turnout likely due to spring break. We played half court so that resulted in less cardio (no full court) and me getting posted up a lot. I got home and had a nap. When I woke up, it was time for Rattapol to fly home. The Kahn family went to run some errands in preparation for Angela's baby shower. Ruth played with the easter baskets and eggs at the store. We got a call from my mom and dad who said they would be able to come visit us this weekend which was great news. We had lunch with D.J. and Sumeet at Dream Cafe which has a great patio and playground for Ruth. I was reminded of increasing responsibilities as associate director as I got a phone call about some things at work. I guess I am about to find out if I am cut out and/or passionate about this new role. It was also time for D.J. to drive home so we said our goodbyes. At home, I did some administrative work. The Webbs came over for pizza. We had a good time getting to know one another.

Romans 15:5 "May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."

The keys words from this passage are endurance, encouragement, and unity. To fight the good fight and make it last, it requires these things. Endurance in our walk with Christ seems to be aided by encouragement from fellow believers who we are unified with. The unity is exemplified by the comment that "with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."

My prayer today is for the salvation of my family, their safe travel from and to Dallas, and wisdom on how to handle my new work responsibilities professionally, compassionately, and effectively.
