I woke up at 7am to go walking with Dwight. We chatted about politics, the church small group and yesterday's service at Northwest, and his experiences in Ruidoso. We got home to get the Andrews packed and ready to go back to Lubbock. We stopped at IHOP for breakfast. I headed to my personal trainer session. We picked up the Nick and Angela for lunch. I put Ruth down for a nap while Amy got some things done. While Ruth slept, Amy and I died laughing watching The Office episodes on DVR. We headed to BUMC to visit my parents' friend who was doing well in the ICU. He seems to be recovering well so that is great news. From there, we headed to pick up a Rael to go to dinner. His fiancee met us at Glorias on Greenville which had a great patio. Ruth loved playing with the dog at the table next to us. Rael and Coral came over to our house and played with Ruth. Amy and I watched a couple more episodes of The Office and headed to bed.

Romans 5:7-8 "Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Chapter five talks about peace and hope through Him. It also speaks of sin from Adam (and Eve, I suppose) to the entire human race which was reconciled by Christ. The verses above are interesting in that we all sometimes will do something nice to those who are nice to us, but rarely for someone who is against us. Verse 7 and 8 speak of Christ dying for all of us, while we were still sinners and those who were against Him.
